Investcorp, a prominent global alternative investment firm, has recently disclosed its agreement to acquire NSEIT, the digital technology arm of India's National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The deal, valued at INR 1,000 crores ($119.82 million), marks one of the most substantial mid-market transactions in the nation.

Notably, this acquisition excludes NSEIT's digital examinations business.

In a statement, Investcorp underscored its dedication to bolstering investments in India's technology and financial services sectors.

NSEIT, renowned for its advanced digital transformation and cybersecurity services catering to global clientele in capital markets, insurance, and banking, operates prominently in India, North America, and the Middle East.

Among NSEIT's offerings are digital engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions.

This strategic move aligns with Investcorp's established history of investing in technology and IT services companies, particularly in the United States.

Furthermore, NSEIT's ambitious expansion plans in the US, where it has achieved a remarkable growth rate of over 50% CAGR in the last four years, accentuate the synergistic potential of this acquisition.

The company aims to bolster its client base within the financial services sector, building upon its existing success trajectory.
